Blast furnace for lead smelting

Lead oxide concentrates and other lead materials can be reduced and smelted in a blast furnace to obtain crude lead products for sale or for refining before sale.<br />
After the lead materials are mixed with other charge materials and briquetted, they enter the blast furnace and react under high temperature and reducing atmosphere. Lead is reduced to crude lead, and other metal impurities become slags, and they are statically stratified in the furnace hearth. The crude lead at the hearth bottom can be siphoned out and casted into large ingots for sale.
